Phlox are some of my favorite flowers. They provide height for the back of a flower bed, are very cold hardy and drought tolerant, and come back reliably year after year. On top of that, they are just so beautifully colorful. Their multi-hued blooms last over a month and just take my breath away every year. This spring I planted two new varieties, which puts my total at seven.
I'll admit it, I'm a phlox addict. I would plant more but then I would have less room for things that bloom at other times. All I can do is relish the time that I have to see and enjoy them. Once September comes there will be a new batch of flowers to fawn over.
